At first, I was intimidated by Linux defaults, but over time I grew to appreciate, and indeed, prefer Linux as an operating system. {{% sidenote %}} My decision to use Linux over Windows/MacOS is because it is free and open source software (FOSS). This is a topic for a different post, but I think using FOSS when possible is a moral imperative of sorts.
